Strengthening Ties Between California and Mexico Through Latino Leadership
Given the significant economic, political, and cultural influence of Latinos in California and the broader United States, it is essential to cultivate a stronger relationship between California and Mexico that is rooted in Latino leadership.
As California experiences a demographic and generational shift within the Latino community, our strategy focuses on fostering alignment and empowering these emerging leaders. Central to this effort is the recognition of the vital, mutually beneficial relationship we share with Mexico.
Our objective is to promote a vision of cross-border integration that leads to shared economic prosperity, environmental sustainability, and the preservation of cultural and linguistic heritage for Latinos in California and our partners in Mexico.

The California-Mexico Initiative is a visionary initiative that seeks to change the paradigm and influence US-Mexico relations through a bold agenda of cultural, economic, and climate change integration.
As conservative forces elevate narratives of division, anti-immigrant sentiment, and polarization attempting to drive a wedge between Mexico and the United States, California must lead the way towards a bold 21st century vision of collective prosperity, and cultural and economic integration with our neighbor to the south.
